MARSS, the annual International Conference on Manipulation, Automation and Robotics at Small Scales, is a non-profit conference run by the microrobotic community and technically supported by IEEE-RAS and IEEE-NTC. MARSS2025 will be held in-person on July 28-August 01, 2025, at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, USA. The conference is the flagship forum to discuss cross-disciplinary activities on 1) manipulation, automation, measurement, and characterization at micro/nano scales, and 2) all kinds of small-scale robots (nm – cm) and their applications.

Deadlines:
Full paper submission (5-6 pages): April 15, 2025 (no extension possible!)
  The full paper submission will be closed on April 16, 2025, at 12:00 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)
Short paper submission (1-3 pages): April 15, 2025
  The short paper submission may be extended until June 10, if free presentation slots are available
Notification of paper status: Full paper: within 2 weeks after the submission
  Short paper: 1-2 days after the submission
Submission of camera-ready full papers: May 15, 2025
Early Bird registration (discounted): May 15, 2025
Special session proposals: April 15, 2025 (preliminary proposal, OPTIONAL)
  June 10, 2025 (final list of Session speakers)
Registration for all MARSS2025 speakers (regular sessions, Special sessions, Plenary talks): June 16, 2025
Final Technical program announced: June 30, 2025
   

IMPORTANT:

  • If the speaker has to apply for a visa, it is advisable to submit a paper as early as possible to avoid problems caused by the long processing time of visa applications.
  • No online presentations and no poster presentations are offered at MARSS2025.
  • Recorded talks (to be presented at the conference) may be allowed as unavoidable exception and as the last resort for unexpected issues preventing the travel (visa not issued in time, sudden health problems, other force majeure situations), see details at Recorded talks. Please send a request to info(at)marss-conference.org by July 15, 2025 only if you do not see any possibility to attend the conference in-person. IMPORTANT: This regulation does NOT apply to Plenary talks.
